Perbedaan In order to dan so that

Terkadang kita merasa bingung dalam membedakan kata sambung dalam bahasa Inggris. Bagaimana cara menggunakannya? Dalam bahasa Inggris ada beberapa kata sambung atau conjunction yg bisa digunakan seperti: and, but, whereas, while, so, so that, to, in order to, then, dll.
Dikarenakan banyaknya daftar kata sambung membuat kita bingung bagaimana menempatkannya dalam kalimat. Berikut penjelasan kata sambung “to, in order to dan so that”.

A. Kata sambung “to”

Kata sambung “to” disini artinya untuk bukan kepada, kalau biasanya kalian mengartikan kata “to” menjadi “kepada” tapi kali ini posisinya berbeda ketika posisi kata “to” sebagai kata sambung maka artinya berubah menjadi “untuk”.

Kata sambung “to” diikuti kata kerja, setelah kata sambung “to” + Verb 1 (kata kerja pertama).
Berikut contoh kalimat menggunakan kata sambung “to”.
  • We should eat breakfast to do our activities during the day.
  • We should jog to have stronger lungs.
Perhatikan 2 contoh diatas kata sambung to maknanya adalah untuk dan setelah kata to diikuti kata kerja pertama (verb 1), kata do dan have adalah kata kerja pertama.

Satu lagi contoh kalimat menggunakan kata sambung ” to”
Coba perhatikan!
